From cool concept stores where they sell sustainable clothing and stuff to cozy vintage stores and from cozy events to green oases in the middle of the city. Feeling peckish? InStock is not just any restaurant. At InStock they cook with products that would actually be thrown away. Therefore, every day it is a surprise what’s on the menu. But you can always drink one of their own beers: pieperbier and bammetjesbier – also made from leftovers.

At Hearth, you’ll enjoy everything Mother Nature made. Everything is made from organic ingredients and the menu consists only of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Highly recommended!

5. Meatless District
At Meatless District you eat seasonal and 100% vegan – right down to the wines. The menu is super varied and they have something for everyone, from comfort classics from around the world to a nice soup. You can go there daily at both locations for brunch, snacks and dinner.

6. Café de Ceuvel
The Ceuvel is a vibrant community of entrepreneurs and artists with a green heart. The site contains creative workplaces, a cultural center around sustainability, spaces for rent, a floating hotel and a café-restaurant.
They look at what is really good food and drink. And that goes beyond a label that says ‘organic’. Everything you can eat and drink here is vegan, they have CO2 free coffee and they are completely off gas. Justifiably one of the most sustainable hotspots in Amsterdam.

7. Madre
At Madre, you taste the love of good food. Madre is a modern Mexican cuisine where they work as much as possible with locally sourced, seasonal and fresh ingredients. It is also very inviting to engage in conversation with other guests. This is how Madre is committed to making the world a better place.

8. Noordermarkt
Want to take home a touch of Amsterdam, or put together your own meal with fresh organic dishes? Then be sure to take a look at the Noordermarkt on Saturday. This market is almost 400 years old and is still very popular with Amsterdammers.
You’ll find delicious organic produce here. Fruit and vegetables, bread and – optionally – cheese and meat. On site you can also have a bite to eat while you are in the middle of the fun.
