Kula – all day cafe and studio
At Bedrock we are not only concerned with living a conscious life, but also with living a happy one. And we think that includes enjoying good food, drinks and being together. Therefore we regularly share the finest hotspots with a Bedrock edge. Like Kula, the new gathering place in the Coolhaven of Rotterdam.
Drinking a beer after yoga class; that may not sound very usual, but that’s what Kula is for. It is the first concept in the Netherlands where spirituality meets convenience and fun. The Rotterdam hotspot wants to lower the threshold to go to the yoga studio and make well being accessible for everyone.
The Kula concept
In these challenging times when many people are struggling with mental health issues, it is more important than ever to continue to take good care of yourself. At Bedrock, we are therefore fans of Kula. Kula is a new concept where food and drink, sociability, yoga and mindfulness come together.
Do you want to escape the hustle and bustle for a while? At Kula you can get together with other people, relax and recharge. At any time of the day.
Stress and tension are sometimes unavoidable, especially with work, a social life and perhaps children. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it can become too much. By consciously reflecting on what you find important in life and choosing to do so, you will feel much better. nicer and happier. Feeling good about yourself is what Kula is all about, and it was set up with that in mind.
Yoga at Kula
Kula consists of two parts, namely a all day café and a yoga studio. At the yoga studio you can, of course, take yoga classes from teachers who each incorporate their own style into their classes. So you can choose flexibility or challenging postures, based on what appeals to you.
In addition, Kula provides different types of yoga in her yoga studio. Vinyasa (a flow of yoga postures on the movement of your breath), yoga nidra, slow flow or restorative, it’s all there for you and so there is plenty of choice of styles.
Good food at Kula
At the all-day café you can have breakfast, lunch or drinks. The core of Kula’s cuisine is ‘nourishing & comforting food’. Whether you’re craving an acai bowl in the morning, or a pumpkin & haloumi salad later in the day, at Kula it’s made every day with fresh produce and ingredients.
A drink after yoga is also possible at Kula! Choose for example for a tasty veggie hotdog, which you can drink together with a beer or wine. Already for 6 euros you score a veggie hot dog at Kula.
Other delicacies on the menu that we are already looking forward to are example pancakes, pumpkin soup with a little ginger or sweet potato fries. And the good news is that the dishes for breakfast and lunch as well as the snacks are all under €20.
It doesn’t stop there
Did you think that meant we were at the end of what this fun new hotspot has to offer? Wrong, because that’s not all.
Kula also gives inspiring workshops and events every week, such as breathwork sessions and DIY kombucha. In short, Kula does a whole lot, all to contribute to people’s happiness and well-being. Well being is a high priority and Kula puts this in a new form.
